The Cheetah Girls
The Cheetah Girls appeared on the scene
in 2003 in the Disney Channel movie. From
there, tween girls across the nation were
hooked. The movie tells the story of the
four girls living in New York City, who
form a singing group for their schools
talent competition. Andrienna "Chanel"
Builon, Kiely "Aqua" Willianms, Sabrina
"Dorinda" Bryan, and Raven-Symone as "Galleria"
are discovered by a talent agent. Though
they run into some problems along their
way to stardom, they spread words of loyalty,
responsibility, and valuing friends and
family.
After
the movie was made, Raven-Symone left
the group to pursue a solo career but
the Cheetah Girls continue to see success.
They decided to stay together as a singing
group and released a Christmas album December
of 2005. After the movie was released
it was voted as the #1 Disney Channel
movie by viewers, sparking the making
of a sequel, The Cheetah Girls 2: When
in Spain, to air on the Disney Channel
in August. With the movie comes the release
of their third album, the sound track
to the movie.

focus of this year's event is on corporate

a cookbook, "Secrets", featuring
secret recipes from 50 chefs in the area
that will be available for sale. The Festival
Shop this year will be more of a boutique
that will also sell gourmet foods. Also
new this year will be a children's train.

new books being donated to hospitalized
youngsters and their siblings.
