We had won a free nights stay at this hotel and a $50.00 food voucher at the machine shed in a silent auction at Ed White elementary school in Eldridge. We called to book our room and were able to upgrade to a suite for a small additional charge. The room was fantastic!! Your hotel was superb. The staff was also very helpful and pleasant. We are certainly planning on using this hotel whenever we are in the Twin Cities!

Dinner at the Machine Shed was a true surprise. It was excellent--both food and service. Thanks so much for allowing pets at the hotel--that's why we came. Our daughter lives at the UMN and is 6 hrs away and misses her little dog - a shih tsu named Kazoo. It meant a lot to her! Thanks again. Great stay! I recommended the hotel to the UMN website for parents!

Retain Greg and his excellent staff. We\'ve never had such fine service from everyone: check-out clerk, maintenance manager, and all employees who all greeted us and made our stay exceptional. Perhaps a pay raise is in order for everyone!

Patrick and the staff were very helpful with my reservation. Another party booked the room for two nights, however, I needed a third night. The staff was very accommodating and able to take care of me. It was a pleasure working with them.

Excellent hotel. I stay there every time I come to Des Moines for 2 reasons: Waffles in the morning and a super breakfast and a free drink and snacks when I check in at night. It keeps me coming back!

Arrived after midnight (about 12:30 am) after a long drive through a lot of rain. Person behind the front desk (didn\'t catch her name) greeted me by name, with a big smile, and a quick check in. Nice ending to a long day.

I wanted you to know what a wonderful job was done on my son's rehearsal dinner at the Comfort Suites in Des Moines. Sue Kolb set us up with Cheryl Math to make arrangements for the dinner and we could not have been happier with the results. We had 100 people for Turkey Breast and Ham plus the trimmings and Apple Dumplings for dessert. It was absolutely fabulous. Cheryl was very accommodating and professional with everything. I hope to use the catering again, my youngest son is thinking about them doing the catering for his wedding in a couple of years. I am telling everyone I know about the fabulous experience we had.

What a delight to arrive in "Lake Country" after a 2 hour drive in rain and sleet and begin again to experience the kind, friendly service, the great amenities including the spacious lobby with inviting fireplace blazing, and the inviting pool and spa. This trip we took along our grand daughter, who didn't want to leave - she had so much fun in the pool - we had to promise a return visit "real soon." Of course we plan to do so as time and circumstances permit. We have been guests for over 4 years and have never been disappointed. The hot breakfast items from the adjacent Machine Shed are a real treat. And all this at budget-friendly rates. Please thank the managers and staff for their kindness and professionalism. Hope to be back next year!
