If you want to know what's going on in and around Des Moines, you've come to the right place! The Wildwood Lodge in the West Des Moines area is conveniently located within the Des Moines metro area and just a short drive from major local attractions. Also, the new West Des Moines Jordan Creek Mall has a variety of shops and restaurants and is located just a short drive from the hotel.
The Des Moines area boasts many leisure amenities, including a large amusement park, exceptional zoo, and the Iowa State Fair. In addition, several shopping venues are of particular interest: Jordan Creek TownCenter, Valley West Mall and Valley Junction (a collection of antique and upscale clothing shops).

Two new rides were being built for the 2006 park season. The rides, named “The Splash Over” and “The Frog Hopper”, will both be completed and ready for operation by opening day. Come see for yourself! The Central Iowa Barn Dance Association promotes American country dancing to bring enjoyment, delight and sociability to our community. We hold regular dances featuring fine callers and dance musicians, and invite everyone to participate.
